stakeholder groups – including internal programme teams and external funders;
• Assist the Executive Director with proposal writing for funding and organisational development;
• Develop a database of potential funding sources and impact partners;
• Develop and implement a dynamic reporting calendar across all Sunshine Cinema programmes;
• Lead the writing and distribution of all reporting – including the Sunshine Cinema annual report;
• Build strong relationships with programme partners, ensuring effective collaboration that is focussed on impact and results;
• Manage data collection officers and intern assistants across all programmes.

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

• Masters Degree in Development studies, Anthropology, Sociology, Economics, Public Policy, or other relevant discipline;
• Minimum of 5 years’ relevant work experience in data collection and analysis, and report writing – preferably in an arts and culture and/or media and/or film distribution and/or social enterprise development context;
• Proven success in designing, implementing, and conducting programme monitoring and evaluation, with a strong background in qualitative research;
• Exceptional English oral expression, report writing and editing skills – additional South African language(s) is an added advantage;
• Knowledge of evaluation methodologies, data collection and analysis methodologies is essential;
• Experience in managing team members, delegating and leading strategies;
• Interest and passion for narrative change work using storytelling in the impact space;
• Interest and knowledge of the African cinema industry is recommended;
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint and/or Keynote, or similar apps and Google Workspace;
• Comfortable, skilled and experienced in modeling impact when working with diverse communities;
• Team player with strong interpersonal communications skills, and a willingness to collaborate to benefit the development of the organisation as a whole;
• Independent self-starter, with the ability to set targets and meet deadlines;
• Strong work and accountability ethic, with the ability to manage time effectively to meet reporting deadlines;
• Drivers Licence;
• Legal right to work in South Africa;
• Willingness to travel to communities that are impacted by Sunshine Cinema programmes;
• Own Laptop with minimum 10Mbps stable internet connection;
